Late in my career I was blessed to be hired by the City of Cerritos, California as a multi-medial designer / librarian.
The Cerritos Millennium Library is a high profile, world-class library with some 300,000 books to its collection. It has been termed the first “Experience Library” because of it an 88,500 square feet of fascinating themed areas, stunning art and interesting architecture. In 2003 the library won a THEA award for themed entertainment. It has recently been cited as one of the 50 most beautiful libraries in the world.
It was one of the most happiest episodes in my life. I was freed to create art and was the boss of only myself. I’m standing here with the very-talented Annie Hylton the Library’s Director.
